Intervention in the U.S. Election
In 2015, the NSA detected an intrusion in Democratic National Committee servers by Russian hackers and notified the FBI. Another Russian hack gained access to the emails of Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman, John Podesta. Meanwhile, U.S. intelligence officials worried about Russian incursions into state voting systems.
